27 OCT 2023. A small glimpse of Aminata unforgettable solo concert "Paisums Bēgums" in the popular Palladium concert hall in the heart of Riga, Marijas Street 21

The talented singer Aminata finally performed her long-awaited solo concert “Paisums Bēgums” at the Palladium concert hall to celebrate the release of her new full-length album. The concert featured both well-known and brand-new songs. Aminata performed with her regular backing band, which includes musicians such as guitarist Kaspars Vizulis, keyboardist Toms Mikāls, bassist Kristaps Ērglis, and drummer Rūdolfs Daņiļevičs. The Palladium concert hall was filled to the brim with fans who sang along to her melodious songs.

About singer Aminata

Aminata Savadogo, born on January 9, 1993, also known as Aminata, is a Latvian singer, songwriter, record producer, and model with a diverse ethnic background. Her mixed African and Russian heritage, combined with the rich Latvian culture, has shaped her artistic expression from an early age. Her powerful and distinctive voice reflects the fusion of African, Russian, and Latvian singing traditions. This unique blend has garnered her acclaim in various singing competitions and music projects.

Her most notable international accomplishment to date is securing 6th place at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, ending Latvia’s streak of poor results in the competition

Following her victory in the national selection for Eurovision, “Supernova 2015,” with her single “Love Injected,” she released her debut album “Inner Voice” in the same year. She returned to the stage in February 2016, performing her new song “Fighter” at Supernova 2016’s final, and subsequently released its music video in April. In October 2016, Aminata released her second studio album “Red Moon.”

She composed the song “I’m Like a Wolf” for Lithuanian singer Aistė Pilvelytė, who finished second in the competition to represent Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017

In 2020, she co-wrote “Still Breathing” with Samanta Tīna, which was chosen to represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest. However, the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Subsequently, Samanta Tīna was internally selected to represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with “The Moon Is Rising,” another song co-written by Aminata. In September 2021, she co-wrote a song with DJ Rudd for Dons titled “It’s Written in the Heavens (Milky Way). The song was nominated for Song of the Year and Top Radio Hit at the 2022 Latvian Music Recording Awards.
