Despite initially leading both races in the MXGP class on the second day of MXGP Of Latvia 2023, Jorge Prado, the season leader, faced a tough challenge from Jeffrey Herlings, who ultimately emerged victorious in both races and secured the overall win. This impressive performance allowed Herlings to narrow the gap between him and Prado in the championship standings. In the MX2 class, Kay de Wolf showcased his skills by finishing first in both races, consequently claiming the top spot in the season standings.
